Opened in 1999 and designed by legendary golfer Nick Faldo, the Faldo Course at Mission Hills, Shenzhen, is China’s inaugural stadium course. Spanning over 7,000 yards, this visually striking layout boasts a signature island green, dramatic earthwork amphitheaters, grass mounds, and expansive, deep bunkers set amidst mature trees and sweeping views.

Framed by Shenzhen's thick tropical foliage, the Jose Maria Olazabal-designed course at Mission Hills offers both stunning visual contours and a rigorous test of skill. This par-72 gem played at over 7,300 yards and featured almost 160 strategically placed bunkers when it served as the home of the Omega World Cup between 2007 and 2018.

Originally opened in 1989 and designed by Damien Pasukutsuo, Nemu Golf Club is a spectacular 18-hole, par 72 resort layout stretching 6,768 yards. Having recently undergone a major remodeling that re-routed holes for a smoother, flowing layout, this premium destination overlooks the breathtaking Ago Bay. Combining seaside splendor with a woodland retreat, it offers deep green fairways set against coastal sea breezes to challenge and delight golfers of all skill levels.

Designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer and opened in 1994, Aomori Spring Golf Course is a magnificent 18-hole, par 72 championship layout stretching 7,104 yards. Set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Iwaki in Aomori Prefecture, this course strategically challenges players of all skill levels with long par-5 holes, technical doglegs, two-tier greens, and scattered ponds and bunkers throughout.

Hirono Golf Club was founded in 1932 and an Englishman called Charles Alison, who was responsible for the design of many of Japan’s great courses, laid it out. This intensely private Japanese members club is located about fifteen miles northwest of the city of Kobe, which is Japan’s most important seaport. Sadly, Kobe hit the news headlines in 1995 for the wrong reasons after an earthquake, measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale, devastated the area of Hyogo killing more than 5,000 people. Natural disasters tend to place golf clubs and courses into perspective but Hirono is the most important golf course in Japan and it’s the yardstick for which all other golf courses across the whole of Asia are measured. Charles Alison and Harry Colt fashioned some of Britain’s greatest golf courses and Alison used all of his knowledge and design skill to create the magical Hirono, which would not look out of place along England’s Surrey/Berkshire sand belt.

Widely regarded as the most intimidating test at Mission Hills Shenzhen, the Norman Course was deliberately designed to push golfers to their limits. Stretching over 7,200 yards, its formidable length is highlighted by a massive 486-yard par 4 and a grueling 644-yard par 5. True to Greg Norman's signature style, the challenge goes beyond sheer distance; tight fairways paired with Australian Sandbelt-inspired bunkers make for a punishing, adventurous layout where survival is the ultimate goal.
