Course Overview

The world-class, Garl-designed Alpine Golf & Sports Club is widely acclaimed as the absolute best golf course in Bangkok by a wide margin. Designed by one of America's leading golf course architects, Ronald M. Garl, the course received global recognition as the prestigious venue for the 2000 Johnnie Walker Classic PGA tournament won by Tiger Woods and again hosted the same event in 2004. Today, Alpine Golf & Sports Club brings Thailand squarely onto the international tournament map, offering an unrivaled playing experience for golf travelers.

Impeccable Conditioning

Maintained to the immaculate standards expected of a world-class championship layout, the tees, fairways, and greens are kept in flawless condition. The integration of premium turf alongside lightning-fast greens ensures excellent, consistent playing surfaces year-round, making it hard to imagine that Alpine was originally created from flat rice paddy fields.

The Bangkok layout serves as a fair but engaging test of golf, demanding thoughtful strategy and smart shot placement on every single hole. While the strategically located beach-style bunkers and extensive water hazards are tricky, they are clearly visible from each tee box. The greens feature plenty of subtle undulations, rewarding and encouraging a diverse variety of approach shots. Daily pin positions can moderate the difficulty of each hole, ranging from friendly to highly challenging while various tee box locations allow both low and mid-handicappers to choose the ideal course length for their game.

The Thrilling Final Three

The final three holes make up some of the most challenging, dramatic, and fun closing stretches on the entire course:

• Hole 16 (Par 5 - 555 Yards): A true risk-reward monster that demands precise fairway management off the tee. The distinct angle of the fairway, combined with heavy jungle borders tightly guarding the landing areas, poses a massive challenge for those attempting to get their approach shots close. A cautious second-shot lay-up away from the trees sets up a demanding pitch over deep bunkering into a shallow green.
• Hole 17 (Par 3): A beautiful par 3 that plays directly to a green heavily guarded by deep sand traps and lateral hazards. The back pin locations, in particular, demand an exceptionally well-struck and accurate tee shot to counter the challenging slopes that naturally roll from back to front.
• Hole 18 (Par 4 - 440 Yards): A spectacular finishing hole and a true signature design that guarantees dramatic finishes. The layout presents a slight dogleg with water running aggressively down the fairway line, heavily impacting both the tee shot and the approach. To open up the best angle into the final green, golfers must bravely challenge the water hazard off the tee.
