The historic Miri Golf Club (Kelab Golf Miri) holds a legendary status as one of the oldest and most enduring golf developments in Sarawak, Malaysia. Driven by the discovery of oil in 1905 which brought immense wealth and rapid growth to the region, the club was established as early as 1910 to serve expatriates arriving from England and the Netherlands. The first 6 holes of the current layout were constructed in 1924 by Sarawak Oilfield Limited, the forerunner of Sarawak Shell. Ideally positioned just 15 minutes from Miri city center and a 25-minute drive from Miri Airport, it provides an accessible yet completely worry-free island-like hideaway for golf travelers.
