Situated 450 meters above sea level within the Rancamaya Estate, Rancamaya Golf and Country Club is located 20 minutes from Bogor and 90 minutes from Jakarta. This elevation guarantees comfortable playing weather year-round and thinner air that allows golf balls to fly roughly one club further than at sea level. Designed by Ted Robinson, the course offers a stadium-like layout set against a backdrop of the extinct Mount Salak volcano.

Course Layout & Tactical Design

The routing integrates a network of cascading lakes and waterfalls, providing a relaxing soundtrack of flowing water on almost every hole. The course features multiple tee boxes, strategically placed hazards, and oversized greens designed to maximize player enjoyment.

• 1st Hole (Par 4): A forgiving opener starting from an elevated tee near the clubhouse. It features a wide landing zone and a straightforward approach, though players must use enough club to clear a pond guarding the front-right of the green.

• 14th Hole (Par 3): The iconic signature hole presents panoramic views of Mount Salak and the surrounding valleys, requiring precise club selection to reach a heavily protected green nestled below the tee.

• 18th Hole (Par 5): A dramatic uphill finisher that starts with a forced carry over a deep ravine. The hole culminates at an island green, meaning only long hitters should attempt to reach it in two. For most, a disciplined three-shot strategy yields the best chance at par.
