Course Conditions & Design

Originally a flat rice paddy, the site was transformed through extensive earthmoving and dredging to create dramatic fairway mounding and a network of man-made lakes, reservoirs, and creeks.

• The Turf: The course features premium Zoysia grass fairways—which provide excellent lies despite occasional bare patches—and relatively flat Bermuda grass greens that can sometimes roll a bit bumpy. Thanks to an advanced drainage system, playing conditions remain stable even during tropical weather.

• The Challenge: Tight landing zones, large bunker complexes, and persistent water hazards mean golfers should pack extra balls. Fortunately, the fairway mounding tends to funnel stray shots back toward the center. While long hitters can attempt to carry the hazards, precise, straight hitting is heavily rewarded over raw distance.
