Situated six kilometers west of the town center along the Mekong River, Luang Prabang Golf Club is a par-72 championship course stretching 7,443 yards from the back tees. Framed by densely forested tropical mountains, the entire project has been meticulously developed and operated with a strict, eco-friendly approach.

A Scenic, Non-Parallel Layout

The layout delivers a memorable sense of expedition, completely avoiding parallel fairways so players feel fully immersed in nature.

• The Front Nine: Routes away from the river through a highly picturesque, tranquil landscape.

• The Terrain: Despite its length, the course is easy to walk, featuring gentle to moderately undulating contours. Tee shots are met with generous fairways (35 to 40 yards wide) bordered by a manageable semi-rough, though liberal fairway bunkering requires smart placement.

• The Greens: The putting surfaces are generally medium-sized and heavily protected by sand traps.

The Riverside Finish

The course saves its most dramatic routing for the final stretch as it returns to the water.

Holes 14 to 17: This spectacular sequence runs directly parallel to the Mekong River, culminating in the scenic, par-3 17th hole which plays right along the river's edge.

• The 18th Hole: Breaking from the course's otherwise mild elevation changes, the finishing par-4 plays aggressively uphill—climbing 35 feet over 375 yards toward a medium-sized green that slopes heavily from right to left.
